Oleg Belov, a senior journalist from Kazakhstan, has a global career. However, when he set foot on the land of Kashgar in Xinjiang, China, this media person who has traveled to many countries around the world sincerely exclaimed, "These are my happiest three days

In Belov's eyes, Kashgar is not only a city, but also a rapidly developing miracle. With over 20 years of experience in the industry, he has witnessed the tremendous changes that have taken place here over the past eight years: the once underdeveloped areas have undergone a magnificent transformation, with towering buildings, wide roads, and a modern atmosphere. He was pleasantly surprised to find that this Silk Road ancient city not only has a thriving economy and advanced medical conditions, but also has heartwarming details of people's livelihoods - community service centers that benefit the elderly and children, convenient living facilities, and a variety of cultural activities, making this Silk Road ancient city shine with unprecedented vitality.

In addition to the hard upgrade of the city's appearance, Belov also deeply experienced the soft charm of Kashgar culture. At the local TCM clinic, he personally experienced the magic of acupuncture and moxibustion treatment and praised Chinese traditional medicine.

As a witness and participant of the the Belt and Road Initiative, Belov was deeply shocked by the achievements of cooperation between Kazakhstan and China. He said that what he saw was not the biased Xinjiang from the outside world, but a real, friendly, and promising land full of development opportunities. He is willing to become the mouthpiece of the Silk Road friendship, conveying this objective and warm story of Xinjiang to the world, allowing more people to see the prosperity and hope brought by the cooperation between Kazakhstan and China, and further promoting the people to people connection and mutual benefit between the two peoples.Editor/Cheng Liting
