On May 10, 2024, COSL announced that its participation in the first integrated platform abandonment project in the Bohai Sea region has been successfully concluded and achieved successful results.

In order to optimize the development of the field and improve the utilization level of reserves, COSL fully contracted the disposal integration operation. By giving full play to the advantages of the company's whole industry chain and using efficient management strategies, CNOOC Oilfield Services successfully integrated the original independent equipment, technology, products and other units effectively, and realized their collaborative work and sustainable development under a unified system. This integration strategy significantly improved overall work efficiency, resulting in a 17.23% increase in duration efficiency.

Before the operation began, COSL conducted a thorough in-depth physical examination of the required equipment to ensure that each equipment was in the best condition. Through refined organization planning, lean management methods and precise problem solving ability, the company successfully built a set of shaft disposal integration technology system. In response to the long time required to cut multiple casing, the discards 18-2 team innovatively adopted abrasive jet technology to achieve the goal of cutting multiple casing in one go. This method not only significantly reduces the disassembly time of the tool combination, but also increases the efficiency of the operation through batch cutting. In the whole cutting process, the success rate reached 100%, which provided valuable experience and reference for the subsequent cutting work of multi-layer casing in similar disposal projects.
