Shouxian Dongsheng Comprehensive Pier is located in Zhaotai Village, Bagongshan Township, Shouxian County, on the right bank of the Huaihe River, about 220 meters away from Shanghehang high-speed Railway Bridge, about 1000 meters away from Dongfeihe River into the mouth of the Huaihe River. The project plans to build two general berths of 2000 tons, loading and unloading mainly for mining construction materials, general cargo and so on. The designed annual throughput of the terminal is 1.5 million tons, the length of the shoreline is 160 meters, and the total investment of the project is about 100 million yuan.

Shouxian Dongsheng Comprehensive Terminal is an important part of Jianghuai hub port construction. With the comprehensive implementation of the project to divert the Yangtze River to Huaihe River and the Huaihe River main stream regulation project, Huainan Port ushered in unprecedented development opportunities. The municipal Party committee and the municipal government attach great importance to the construction of port projects, and the development of port economy is included in the important agenda of industrial transformation and high-quality development. Since the "14th Five-Year Plan", the city has five port projects such as Fengtai New port and Pearl Comprehensive terminal under construction, and has started the preliminary work of five water transport projects such as Hetai Comprehensive Terminal, Taowei Comprehensive terminal and Shouxian Xinqiao Comprehensive terminal. Huainan Port will be built into a logistics distribution center in northern Anhui, a direct shipping hub of Jianghuai River with resource allocation ability, a combined transport port of Jianghaihe River in northern Anhui and an external gateway port of Huaihe River basin. Shouxian Dongsheng comprehensive terminal project is settled in Shouxian under this background, which is not only the needs of the enterprise's own development, but also the enterprise's positive response to the development of port economy.

The construction of Dongsheng comprehensive terminal marks the substantial progress made in the construction of Jianghuai hub port. As the first port project to be constructed after the opening of the Jianghuai Canal, its completion will be conducive to the rational development and utilization of shoreline resources in the port area of Shouxian County, and make up the blank of non-productive port terminals in the operation area of Shouxian County. It is of great significance to open up the material transportation channel of the economic hinterland, implement the development strategy of the Yangtze River Economic Belt and the Huaihe River Ecological Economic Belt, and promote the large-scale, intensive and modern development of Huainan port.
