Recently, the land for the main line of the Dehong section of the Ruili-Menglian Expressway was successfully approved by the Ministry of Natural Resources, marking that the entire land for the longest expressway under construction in Yunnan has been approved. This expressway is 521.36 kilometers long. It is not only an important part of the border highways in Yunnan Province, but also accounts for more than one-third of the mileage of the border highways. It passes through the four cities of Dehong, Baoshan, Lincang and Pu'er, which is of great significance to the construction of transportation network in Yunnan Province and even the entire region.

The starting point of the Ruili-Meng Expressway is near Jile in the north of Ruili City. It connects with the Long-Ruili Expressway and passes through Huyu, Xiangda, Mengnuo, Longzhenqiao, Mengpeng, Zhenkang (Nanshan), Qingshuihe , Mengding, Gengma, Cangyuan (Nuoliang), Xuelin, Muga, Zhongke, Jingxin and other places, and finally ends near Langle Village in Menglian County, connecting with the starting point of the Menglian to Menghai section of the coastal highway .
The construction of this expressway will greatly strengthen the transportation connections between the areas along the route and surrounding cities. It not only connects many important exit channels such as Tianhou Expressway, Hangrui Expressway, and Linqing Expressway, but also connects Ruili, Wanding, Nan Umbrella, Qingshuihe, Yonghe, Menglian and other ports have a profound and immeasurable impact on improving regional transportation accessibility and promoting the development of border trade.
