On June 6, 2024, the Lower Reservoir Dam of the State Grid New Energy Zhejiang Pan'an Pumped Storage Power Station ushered in an important milestone in its construction process, and the first warehouse concrete was successfully poured. The realization of this important node marks that the entire project has officially entered the main concrete pouring stage, indicating that the construction of the power station has entered a new stage.

The Lower Reservoir Dam of the Zhejiang Pan'an Pumped Storage Power Station is a gravity dam using roller-compacted concrete technology. The dam has a designed elevation of 431.5 meters at the crest and a maximum dam height of 68.5 meters, showing its solidity and majesty. The length of the dam crest is 263.6 meters, and the width of the dam crest is 9.2 meters at the minimum, ensuring the stability of the structure and the convenience of construction.

The entire Lower Reservoir Dam is carefully divided into 13 dam sections, and each dam section will undergo strict construction and quality control. The total concrete pouring volume of the entire dam is expected to reach about 270,000 cubic meters, which is a huge amount of work, showing the ambition and superb skills of the project team.
