On June 26, 2024, with the order of Offshore Oil Engineering Co., Ltd. at the Qingdao International High end Equipment Manufacturing Base, the Qatar ISND5-2 project officially began construction. The Qatar ISND5-2 project, as the most complex international offshore oil and gas field general contracting project undertaken by a Chinese enterprise, has a contract amount of over 4.4 billion yuan, covering multiple aspects such as the design, procurement, construction, transportation, installation, and commissioning of wellhead platforms.
