On July 25, 2024, the last set of tower cylinder of Huaneng Mengdong Zhalantun 300kW wind power project successfully completed the lifting task under the meticulous production and efficient on-site operation of Dalian Company of China Hydropower Bureau No. 4, which marked the successful implementation of the project contract and the project smoothly entered a new stage.

Huaneng Group planned and launched the 300,000-kilowatt wind power construction project of Zhalantun in eastern Mongolia at the southwest edge of Zhalantun City, Hulunbuir City, Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region, about 45 kilometers away from the urban area. The project plans to deploy 61 wind power plants, each with a capacity of 5 megawatts. The Dalian Company has played an important role in the manufacture and supply of 21 sets of tower components, which are specially designed for Mingyang's 140 m high hybrid tower, covering the transition section of the tower and the steel tower section to meet the efficient and stable operation requirements of wind power facilities.

Once completed, the wind power project is expected to contribute up to 720 million KWH of green electricity per year, greatly promoting the optimization and transformation of the regional energy structure, and significantly increasing the proportion of clean energy in energy supply. This will not only bring considerable financial benefits to the local economy, directly boost economic growth through increased tax revenue and job creation, but also generate far-reaching social benefits, including reducing carbon emissions, improving air quality and enhancing energy security, laying a solid foundation for sustainable development.Editor/Zhang Liyuan
