Recently, Goldwind Technology collaborated with Pacific Energy to successfully deliver wind power equipment for the Tropicana renewable energy project of AngloGold Ashanti and Regis Resources Ltd in Australia. The onshore starting point of the unit transportation was Geraldton Port in Australia, with a transportation route of 1444 kilometers from the project site, breaking the record for the longest distance of wind power equipment transportation in Australia.
Goldwind Technology, together with Pacific Energy, has successfully delivered four GW165-6.0MW smart wind turbines to the Tropicana renewable energy project, which have been tested in many places around the world, including Türkiye and Egypt, demonstrating its excellent stability and reliability. These four units will help build a 24MW wind farm, working in conjunction with the 24MW photovoltaic equipment, 13MW energy storage system, and 54MW natural gas power station within the Tropicana project, providing green and reliable power supply for the Tropicana gold mine.
The Tropicana gold mine is an important mining area in Australia, with an annual gold production of up to 310000 ounces and a huge demand for electricity. After the completion of the Tropicana renewable energy project, the green electricity it supplies will reduce the gold mine's diesel usage by 96% and natural gas usage by 50%. The annual carbon emissions reduction will reach 65000 tons, providing strong support for the energy transformation of the Tropicana gold mine and contributing to the development of global "green mining".
Goldwind Technology has partnered with Pacific Energy, a leading renewable energy company in Australia, to successfully deliver the wind turbines for the Tropicana project, leveraging their deep expertise in complex logistics, project management, and sustainable energy. This cooperation not only validates the professional strength of both parties, but also demonstrates the firm determination and strong synergy of the two enterprises to jointly promote the development of global renewable energy.
As a globally trusted clean energy partner, Goldwind Technology has deepened its green cooperation with Australia for many years. As of Q1 2024, its wind power grid connected installed capacity exceeds 1600MW in Australia, including Stockyard Hill, the largest operating wind farm in the southern hemisphere (530MW). Goldwind has also partnered with the University of New South Wales to establish the first wind energy technology testing laboratory, promoting the integration of industry, academia, and research. In June of this year, Cao Zhigang, the President of Goldwind, attended the China Australia CEO Roundtable and worked with the political and business sectors to explore a new blueprint for green cooperation.
On the occasion of the 10th anniversary of the comprehensive strategic partnership between China and Australia, China remains Australia's largest trading partner and green cooperation is becoming increasingly close. In August 2024, the China Australia Ministerial Dialogue on Climate Change will deepen cooperation and consensus, injecting confidence into green development. Goldwind Technology takes advantage of the situation, deepens green cooperation, and works together with partners to promote the prosperity of the renewable energy industry in Australia and globally.
