Recently, China Railway Construction Bridge Bureau and Liberia National Port Authority held a significant signing ceremony for the port planning and design contract at Tianjin Railway Construction Building, marking a solid step forward in the cooperation between China and Liberia in the field of infrastructure construction. This cooperation not only reflects the professional strength and technological advantages of Chinese enterprises in the field of overseas port construction, but also provides strong support for Liberia's national development strategy.

The expansion plan of Greenville Port, as an important transportation hub in Liberia, has been given high strategic significance. The port currently has two docks, with lengths of 70 meters and 180 meters respectively, and a water depth of 6 meters. These basic conditions have laid a good foundation for the future development of the port. However, facing the growing demand for international shipping and the urgent need for Liberia's post-war economic recovery, the existing port facilities are no longer able to meet the needs of future development. Therefore, the expansion project of Greenville Port has emerged, aiming to build it into an important international shipping center in Liberia and even West Africa by enhancing port throughput capacity, optimizing port layout, introducing advanced equipment and technology, and other means.

According to the plan, the expansion project of Greenville Port will include a series of projects such as building multiple modern docks, widening waterways, deepening berths, constructing supporting logistics parks and distribution systems. These measures will significantly improve the operational efficiency and carrying capacity of ports, providing strong support for Liberia to attract more international freight business. At the same time, the expanded port will strengthen connectivity with other countries and regions, promote trade and investment liberalization and facilitation, and inject new vitality into Liberia's economic development. Keywords: the Belt and Road news, the Belt and Road project, overseas project.

As the general contractor of this project, China Railway Construction Bridge Bureau will spare no effort to promote the smooth implementation of the project with its rich overseas engineering experience and strong technical strength. The company will organize a professional team to conduct in-depth research on natural conditions such as port topography, geomorphology, hydrology, and meteorology, scientifically formulate design and construction plans, and ensure that the project meets international first-class standards in terms of quality, safety, and environmental protection.
