The photovoltaic energy storage microgrid power generation project of Sany Silicon Energy's Jowa mine in Zambia is Sany Silicon Energy's second overseas project in Africa. Since signing the Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) with local partners on January 15, 2025, the company has quickly formed a cross departmental and international elite preparation team, and completed the entire process from agreement signing to project commencement within 53 days.
The project adopts a flexible strategy of mainly domestic procurement, combined with local emergency procurement and internal allocation of overseas projects. On February 18th, the first batch of photovoltaic modules and brackets were successfully shipped, and the core equipment also arrived at the project site in batches. On March 8th, a vanguard team consisting of 10 professional construction workers arrived in Zambia, marking the official start of the project construction phase.
Dai Ruihua, chairman of Sany Silicon Energy, said that the project not only demonstrated the company's excellent project management strength, but also provided strong support for the company's leading position in the international market. In the future, Sany Silicon Energy will continue to uphold the development concept of "innovation, coordination, green, openness, and sharing", and contribute to the global energy transformation and sustainable development.
The commencement of the photovoltaic energy storage microgrid power generation project at Sany Silicon Energy's Jowa mine in Zambia is not only an important milestone for the company's overseas business expansion, but also provides new impetus for Zambia's energy transformation and sustainable development. As the project progresses, Sany Silicon Energy will continue to play an important role in the global energy market. (This article is from the official website of Jian Dao www.seetao.com.
