Hotpack Global, a leader in sustainable packaging in the United Arab Emirates, has announced that the installation of a 2.2-megawatt rooftop solar system at its factory in Dubai's National Industrial Park (NIP) has been completed. This largest-scale project in the region highlights the commitment to environmental protection and also provides inspiration for Chinese photovoltaic enterprises to explore the Middle East market.

Recently, Hotpack Global announced the official commissioning of a 2.2-megawatt rooftop solar power generation system at its manufacturing factory located in Dubai's National Industrial Park (NIP). According to TradeArabia, this project is one of the largest solar facilities in the NIP area. It is expected to generate 3.52 million kilowatt-hours of clean energy annually, reducing carbon dioxide emissions by 2,992 metric tons, which is equivalent to planting more than 142,000 trees. This not only marks a breakthrough for Hotpack in the field of sustainable packaging but also adds a footnote to the potential of the rooftop photovoltaic market in the Middle East.

Abdul Jebbar PB, CEO and Managing Director of Hotpack, said: "Sustainability is at the core of our strategy, and this project is a crucial step towards our goal of carbon neutrality." He pointed out that the system reduces the environmental footprint through renewable energy while enhancing operational efficiency and cost-effectiveness.

The United Arab Emirates is accelerating its clean energy transition with the goal of achieving net-zero emissions by 2050. According to the Khaleej Times, Dubai's clean energy strategy has driven the rapid growth of solar energy projects, and Hotpack's practice is highly consistent with this. Jebbar emphasized: "We are proud to support the UAE's green vision." This also reflects the strong demand for renewable energy in the Middle East region.

China's photovoltaic industry holds a dominant position globally, boasting significant technological and cost advantages. The Middle East region, with its abundant sunlight and numerous industrial parks, provides vast opportunities for rooftop photovoltaics. The success of the Hotpack project shows that local enterprises are increasingly accepting clean energy. Chinese enterprises can take this opportunity to export their technologies and equipment and gain a head start in the market. (This article is from the official website of Seetao.com, www.seetao.com.
