On April 23, the State Power Investment Corporation's Jilin Da'an wind and solar green hydrogen and ammonia synthesis integrated demonstration project has entered the commissioning stage and is expected to achieve trial production soon.

Li Chengyuan, deputy director of the engineering department of China Power Investment Da'an Jidian Green Hydrogen Energy Co., Ltd., said that the Da'an Green Hydrogen Ammonia Project is nearing completion, with 99% of the civil engineering completed, 98% of the steel structure installation completed, and 95% of the equipment installation completed. It is planned to complete the intermediate handover of the project before April 20.

The Jilin Da'an wind and solar green hydrogen and ammonia synthesis integrated demonstration project is the world's largest green ammonia project. The project is invested and constructed by Jilin Electric Power Co., Ltd. It is a key project of Jilin Province in 2022 and a benchmark project for the green electricity conversion industry of the State Power Investment Corporation. The project is located in the Western Jilin (Da'an) Clean Energy Chemical Industry Park, with a total investment of 6.332 billion yuan. The project will build a total wind and solar installed capacity of 800MW, a new 220 kV booster station, supporting 40MW/80MWh energy storage, a new 46000Nm³/h mixed hydrogen production (50 PEM hydrogen production systems, 39 alkaline liquid hydrogen production systems), 60000Nm³ hydrogen storage and 180,000 tons of synthetic ammonia units. It has achieved the first place in China in 6 technologies and the international leading position in 3 technologies. These technologies include wind power generation, photovoltaic power generation, energy storage, hydrogen energy, green ammonia and other clean energy forms, forming a full electricity-hydrogen-ammonia industry chain.
