Walking into Jiening Power Station, the factory area is neat and orderly, and wisps of white smoke come out of the high chimney, but there is no peculiar smell. In the engine room, gas turbines rumble, driving turbines and boilers to generate electricity and heat at the same time, supplying thousands of households.

Mironov, then acting governor of Yaroslavl Oblast, said the project was the largest power station in the region, filling the huge gap in local electricity consumption and creating more than 140 professional and technical jobs for the region. He believes that the smooth commissioning of the project provides new opportunities for cooperation between Russia and China in the field of electric power, which is of typical exemplary significance.

Jiening Power Station adopts the most advanced gas-fired power generation equipment at that time, equipped with high-efficiency, energy-saving and environmental protection equipment, reduces natural gas consumption by 25%, reduces air pollutant emissions by 30%, and has a positive impact on the ecological environment of Yaros Oblast.

In the actual production, in the case of the failure of mutual recognition of the technical standards of the two countries, combined with China's GB/T standards and Huadian's advanced safety management experience, Jiening Power Station carried out a series of special inspections and hidden danger investigations, such as spring flood control inspections and labor protection day inspections. It has successfully achieved the goal of zeroing out hidden dangers in the "Year of Tackling Hidden Dangers", ensured the safety of production and the stability of equipment operation, and greatly improved the level of safety management. Since its commercial operation in 2017, the Jiening power station has been awarded the autumn and winter operation permit by the Russian Ministry of Energy with full scores for 7 consecutive years with a perfect score for 7 consecutive years, and has been awarded the honorary title of "the most reliable power station" by the Yaroslavl Dispatching Bureau.
