On May 17, the Shanxi Provincial Energy Bureau officially issued the "Notice on Carrying out the Pilot Work of Green Power Park Construction in Lanxian Economic and Technological Development Zone, Luliang City".

According to the plan, Lanxian Economic and Technological Development Zone will build a new energy project cluster with a total installed capacity of 450,000 kilowatts, covering 100,000 kilowatts of centralized photovoltaic, 350,000 kilowatts of centralized wind power, 30,000 kilowatts of rooftop and ground distributed photovoltaics, and simultaneously supporting the construction of new energy booster stations, transmission line projects and 50 megawatts/200 megawatt-hours energy storage power stations.

The total investment of the project is 2.564 billion yuan, and the construction period is 2025-2027. After completion, the park will realize the direct supply of green electricity to enterprise users, and the surplus electricity will be sent to the public power grid, building a new green and low-carbon power supply system.

On May 15, Wang Xiaoming, the magistrate of Lanxian County, carried out a special investigation in the Economic Development Zone on the progress of the pilot construction of the green power park, and learned more about the planning and layout of the park, the progress of the project, the application of technology and the existing difficulties. He said that all departments at all levels in the county will actively cooperate with the construction of the project, make every effort to ensure the pilot construction of the green power park and promote green and low-carbon development.

In recent years, in the context of the intensifying pressure on new energy consumption, multiple parties have jointly explored new ways of consumption, and power supply to green parks has become a new hot investment scenario for green power consumption. In 2024, the development scale of its new energy industry will rank first in Luliang City and rank among the best in the province.
