On July 25, 2025, China's new energy sector will see a significant breakthrough. The first pure electric sea passenger ship in China, Yujian 77, developed and built with the participation of Ningde Times New Energy Technology Co., Ltd., has officially set sail in Xiamen Bay, Xiamen City, Fujian Province. The successful operation of this project marks a milestone in China's progress in the field of offshore electric vehicles.
It is reported that the "Yujian 77" vessel is equipped with a marine power battery system independently developed by Ningde Times New Energy Technology Co., Ltd. The system innovatively adopts CTP (non module battery pack) technology and integrated CCS (high-voltage charging system) integration technology, achieving a technical indicator of battery pack energy density exceeding 140Wh/kg. The entire system provides a total power distribution of 3918kWh for the ship, with a pure electric endurance of 100 kilometers, which can meet the operational needs of four consecutive Xiamen Bay night tour routes.
In terms of safety performance, the battery system adopts NP (Non Thermal Diffusion) technology, which has the ability to prevent thermal runaway at the cell level and has a protection level of IP68 standard. After testing, the system can withstand up to 1296 hours of salt spray corrosion testing, ensuring stable operation in complex marine environments. The ship has been certified by international authoritative organizations such as China Classification Society, French Classification Society, American Bureau of Shipping, and Norwegian Classification Society.

According to calculations, after the operation of "Yujian 77", it can reduce fuel consumption by about 250 tons per year and reduce carbon dioxide emissions by more than 400 tons, which is equivalent to the carbon sequestration effect of planting more than 20000 trees. The successful implementation of this project provides a demonstration sample for the green transformation of the maritime tourism industry.
Ningde Times New Energy Technology Co., Ltd. stated that it will continue to increase research and development investment in the future, committed to developing marine battery systems with higher safety, longer cycle life, and higher energy density, and promoting the acceleration of global water transportation towards zero carbon goals. The smooth operation of the "Yujian 77" vessel not only demonstrates China's technological strength in the field of new energy ships, but also contributes Chinese solutions to global marine environmental protection.
