On July 29, 2025, China Chemical Engineering Group Co., Ltd.'s subsidiary, China Chemical Engineering Seventh Construction Co., Ltd., signed the world's largest green ammonia project cooperation agreement with Namibia's Haifen Hydrogen Energy Company in Beijing. According to the agreement, China Chemical Engineering Seventh Construction Co., Ltd. will undertake the FEED+EPC general contracting work for the annual production of 2.4 million tons of green ammonia plant at Haifen Hydrogen Energy in Namibia. Mo Dingge, Chairman of China Chemical Engineering Group Co., Ltd., and Rafinetti, CEO of Haifen Hydrogen Energy Company, witnessed the signing ceremony together.

After completion, this project will become the world's largest green ammonia production base, marking a significant breakthrough for Chinese enterprises in the field of global green energy engineering construction. After the signing ceremony, both sides had in-depth exchanges on deepening green energy cooperation in the Republic of Namibia.

Mo Dingge stated that China Chemical Engineering Group Co., Ltd., as a national team in the field of chemical construction in China, has made multiple technological breakthroughs in the field of new energy and developed innovative technologies such as coupling hydrogen energy with traditional energy. As a special invited enterprise of last year's China Africa Forum, the company has always adhered to the concept of a community with a shared future for mankind and established good cooperative relationships with various African countries. This cooperation will contribute Chinese wisdom to the development of renewable energy in Africa.

Lafinetti highly praised the professional capabilities of China Chemical Engineering Group Co., Ltd. in the field of green energy, pointing out that this project will promote the Republic of Namibia to become a green energy center in Africa and promote local economic development. The government of the Republic of Namibia attaches great importance to this project and looks forward to establishing a long-term cooperative relationship between the two parties.

It is reported that the project is located in the Republic of Namibia and will fully utilize the abundant renewable energy resources in the area to produce green ammonia using advanced electrolysis water hydrogen production technology. Green ammonia, as a zero carbon energy carrier, has broad application prospects in fields such as shipping fuel and power storage.

Long Haiyang, Chairman of China Chemical Engineering Seventh Construction Co., Ltd., stated that the company will fully leverage its professional advantages in the field of engineering construction to ensure high-quality implementation of projects. This project will not only create significant economic benefits, but also cultivate a large number of professional and technical talents for the Republic of Namibia. The implementation of this project will strongly promote the transformation of the global energy structure, provide important support for achieving carbon neutrality goals, and also demonstrate the leading position of Chinese enterprises in the international green energy engineering market.
