On August 8th, the 1GW Green Power Hydrogen Production and Methanol Production Equipment Manufacturing Industry Integration and Infrastructure Supporting Project (EPC) in Gansu Province officially announced the winning bid results. China Construction Third Engineering Bureau Urban Construction Co., Ltd. (consortium member: Shaanxi Provincial Architectural Design and Research Institute (Group) Co., Ltd.) has successfully won the bid with a bid amount of 680.02 million yuan.
The bidding process for this project officially started on June 25th. According to the bidding announcement, the project is located in Gansu Province, northwest China, with a total construction area of approximately 84000 square meters. The newly built factory covers an area of 131 acres and mainly includes energy equipment production lines, research and development centers, and supporting infrastructure. The project will purchase and install three automatic feeding and discharging hydrogen storage material powder equipment and other facilities. After completion, it is expected to produce 500 electrolytic cell production equipment, 500 fuel cells, and 10 solid-state hydrogen storage tanks annually.

The specific construction content includes: 40000 square meters of production workshops, 10000 square meters of warehouses, 10000 square meters of transportation and lifting space, 14000 square meters of research and development centers and technical buildings, 6000 square meters of office buildings, and 4000 square meters of staff dormitories. The total investment of the project is 700 million yuan, adopting the EPC (Design Procurement Construction) general contracting mode, and allowing joint ventures to bid.
The implementation of this project will promote the industrial application of green hydrogen and methanol preparation technology, assist in the improvement of the new energy industry chain in northwest China, and promote green and low-carbon development.
