Guinea's Ministry of Infrastructure and Public Works officially announced the launch of two major infrastructure projects on August 13, with a total investment of more than US$50 million. These two projects will significantly improve domestic transportation and promote regional trade.

The transnational road project will connect Guinea and Mali from Rabe via Mali to Kédougou-Fongolembi, with financing of approximately US$30 million from the African Development Bank. The first phase of the Enco5 overpass construction project in the capital Conakry was launched at the same time, with a total budget of US$20.7 million, of which US$12.8 million was provided by the Kuwait Arab Economic Development Fund.
