Recently, the expansion project of the Xiaogan Suizhou section of the Fuyin Expressway has officially released the investor bidding announcement (No. FYXSTZR-1 section). The total investment of this project is about 17.4 billion yuan, with a total length of about 153 kilometers. It adopts the standard of a two-way eight lane expressway for expansion, with a design speed of 120 kilometers per hour. It is planned to start construction in December 2025, with a construction period of 1460 calendar days.

The project is jointly tendered by the Transportation Bureau of Xiaogan City and the Transportation Bureau of Suizhou City. The construction scope covers Xiaonan District, Xiaochang County, Yunmeng County, Anlu City of Xiaogan City, as well as Zengdu District and Suixian County of Suizhou City. The starting point is located in Huachu Bay, Xiaonan District, connecting smoothly with the Wuhan Xiaogan section of the Fuyin Expressway, and the endpoint is Guanyinyan Village at the border of Suizhou and Xiangyang, connecting with the Xiangyang section of the Fuyin Expressway. The expansion mainly involves widening on both sides, with some sections being separated and newly constructed.

The Xiaogan section is about 82.4 kilometers long, with an investment of about 10.2 billion yuan. It has 10 interchanges, including 7 renovations and 3 new additions; The Suizhou section is about 70.3 kilometers long, with an investment of about 7.2 billion yuan. It has 7 interchanges, including 6 renovations and 1 new addition. The original road section is a two-way four lane road, with an operating period until December 15, 2035, managed by Hubei Communications Investment Suiyue Expressway Company. After the renovation and expansion, the traffic capacity and service quality will be greatly improved.

The project adopts a franchise model, and the winning bidder must establish a project company in accordance with the law, responsible for the full process management of investment and financing, construction, operation, and transfer, and bear the compensation responsibility for the original operating unit. After the expiration of the franchise period, the project assets will be transferred to the government.

Fuyin Expressway is an important part of the national highway network.
