On May 10, 2020, another project in Yangzhou City that benefited people's livelihood began. With the roar of the rotary drilling rig, the main line bridge project of Xinji South Section of National Highway 328 across National Highway 345 officially started.

The 328 National Highway crosses the 345 National Highway Xinji South Main Line Bridge, which is an important node project of the 328 National Highway Yizheng Section Reconstruction and Expansion Project and Yangzhou West Outer Ring Road 345 National Highway Construction Project. National Highway 328 is an east-west road, National Highway 345 is a north-south road, and the two national roads meet at Yizheng Xinji. The main bridge of the southern section of National Highway 328 is here in the form of an overpass, crossing the future National Highway 345, passing the ramp Conversion, vehicles on two national roads can be interconnected.

The main line bridge of Xinji South Section of National Highway 328 across National Highway 345 is constructed with the standard of a two-way six-lane first-class highway with a design speed of 100 kilometers per hour, a roadbed width of 45.5 meters and a bridge width of 28 meters. The bridge has a total length of 691 meters and a project cost of 143 million yuan. It is planned to be completed in March 2021.

The project realizes the interconnection of the two national highways and improves the transportation network in Yangzhou. The project will also provide a quick and comfortable channel service for the Yangzhou World Horticultural Exposition, which is of great significance for Yangzhou to accelerate the formation of a high-quality comprehensive transportation system and boost the local economic development of Yizheng.
