Saudi Arabia launched a $1.8 billion bidding project for the Asian Games stadium on September 4, 2025, aimed at building a multi-functional national level athletics stadium in preparation for the 2034 Asian Games.

Project Overview:

The stadium is one of the main venues for the 2034 Asian Games in Saudi Arabia, located in Qiddiya Sports Park in Riyadh. It covers an area of approximately 182000 square meters and was designed with reference to the main stadium of the London Olympics. HOK, a British company, served as the main design consultant and is expected to be completed and delivered by 2030.

Funding and Development:

The project funding is provided by Qiddiya Investment Company, a subsidiary of the Saudi Public Investment Fund, with an estimated total cost of $1.8 billion.
