Recently, Digital Edge (Singapore) Holdings Limited, an Asian data center operator supported by Stonepeak Investment, teamed up with Thailand's leading private energy company B. Grimm Power Public Company Limited (B.Grimm Power) to hold a groundbreaking ceremony for their first joint venture data center project in Thailand. This move has already laid the groundwork. Previously, W. Media reported on their cooperation plan in June 2025: to build a flagship green data center in the Eastern Economic Corridor (EEC) of Thailand, with a project scale of 100 megawatts and an estimated total investment of about 1 billion US dollars.

According to the official press release released by Digital Edge last week, this data center is positioned as a super large scale and specifically designed for the needs of artificial intelligence scenarios. In terms of energy supply, we will rely on the abundant renewable energy resources under B. Grimm Power to achieve breakthroughs in green operations; At the same time, the project will also set a new industry benchmark in the sustainability, scalability, and high-performance performance of infrastructure. At present, the construction work of the data center has been fully launched, and according to the plan, it is expected to be completed and delivered for use in the fourth quarter of 2026.

John Freeman, CEO of Digital Edge, stated, "Building our first data center campus in Chumphon is a crucial milestone for Digital Edge. Through our deep collaboration with B. Grimm Power, we are advancing sustainable infrastructure construction in the field of artificial intelligence at a scale and efficiency that aligns with our clients' long-term planning and regional development needs. This park will become an important cornerstone for Thailand to accelerate its digital transformation, effectively meeting the rapidly growing computing power demand in the fields of artificial intelligence and machine learning. ”

B. Dr. Harald Link, President of Grimm Power PCL Group, also commented on the groundbreaking: "Today's groundbreaking marks a new stage in our cooperation, taking a solid step towards our shared vision of 'integrating green energy and advanced technology to inject power into Thailand's digital future'. This data center will not only serve global technology leaders, but also further consolidate Thailand's core position as a leading digital hub in Southeast Asia
