Recently, China Energy Construction Gezhouba Road and Bridge Company made a new breakthrough in the development of the international new energy market, successfully winning the bid for the 50 MW wind power EPC general contracting project in L ü deritz, Namibia. The project is another important achievement of the company in deepening green energy cooperation along the the Belt and Road and promoting the "going global" of Chinese technology, standards and equipment.

The total installed capacity of the project is 54.6 megawatts, with an actual grid connected capacity of 50 megawatts and a contract amount of approximately 451 million yuan. The project is located in the southwestern port city of L ü deritz, Namibia, along the Atlantic coast, with abundant wind energy resources and superior natural conditions for developing wind power generation.

The project includes the full process services of wind farm design, procurement, construction, commissioning, and grid connection, covering the construction of wind turbines, towers, box transformers, collection lines, booster stations, and transmission projects. During the project execution, China Energy Engineering Gezhouba Road and Bridge Company will fully leverage its comprehensive advantages in the field of clean energy engineering, actively apply Chinese technology, equipment, and standards, and assist in the construction of green energy infrastructure in Africa.

After the completion of the Ludritz wind power project, it is expected that the annual power generation will exceed 180 million kilowatt hours, which can effectively alleviate the power shortage problem in the local and surrounding areas, and reduce dependence on traditional fossil fuels. This project will also significantly improve the energy structure of Namibia's power system, promote the diversification of power supply sources, significantly increase the proportion of renewable energy in the grid, and play an important role in optimizing the country's power structure and promoting low-carbon transformation.

In addition, during the construction and operation period, the project will create a large number of employment opportunities for the local people, drive the development of relevant industrial chains, and further promote the sustainable economic and social development of Namibia. It is another example of deepening green energy cooperation between China and Africa under the the Belt and Road Initiative. Editor/Xu Shengpeng
