Recently, significant progress has been made in transportation construction in Hubei Province, with five consecutive bids for highway renovation, expansion, and new construction projects, with a total investment scale of 82.3 billion yuan. The project covers multiple areas including Xiaogan, Suizhou, Xiangyang, Ezhou, Jingmen, Jingzhou, and involves national trunk lines such as Fuyin, Erguang, and Shanghai Chongqing. After completion, it will significantly improve the province's "nine vertical, five horizontal, and four ring" expressway network, enhance regional transportation efficiency, and inject new impetus into the economic and social development along the route.

1、 Fuyin Expressway Xiaogan Suizhou section renovation and expansion project

The total length of the route is about 153 kilometers, adopting a two-way eight lane standard, with a total investment of about 17.4 billion yuan;

Mainly based on double-sided widening, locally separated and newly built, with a design speed of 120 kilometers per hour.

2、 The bundling project for the Xiangyang section of the He County to Xiangyang Expressway and the Laohekou to Nanzhang Expressway

The Xiangyang section of the Hexiang Expressway is approximately 74.7 kilometers long, with an estimated investment of 8.8 billion yuan;

The Laohekou to Nanzhang Expressway is approximately 89.7 kilometers long, with an estimated investment of 11.3 billion yuan;

The two projects are bundled and implemented, with a total investment of approximately 20.1 billion yuan.

3、 Fuyin Expressway Xiangyang section renovation and expansion project

The total length of the route is about 153 kilometers, adopting a two-way eight lane standard, with a total investment of about 18.9 billion yuan;

Mainly widen on both sides, and partially separate and construct on one side.

4、 Shanghai Chongqing Expressway Ezhou Yangze to Dongshan section (Wuyang Expressway to Wu'e Expressway connecting line)

The main line is about 11.3 kilometers long, the branch line is about 2.2 kilometers long, and the total investment is about 3.2 billion yuan;

The main line has six lanes in both directions, while the branch line has four lanes in both directions.

5、 Reconstruction and expansion project of Xiangyang Longzhong to Cao'an section of Erguang Expressway in Jingzhou

The total length of the route is about 177 kilometers, expanded from a two-way four lane road to an eight lane road, with a total investment of about 22.7 billion yuan;

The main approach is to widen the area on both sides, with partial separation and additional construction.

After the completion of the above project, it will effectively alleviate the traffic pressure on existing road sections, strengthen the interconnection between central and northern Hubei, promote the coordinated development of Wuhan metropolitan area and Xiangyi, Yijingjing urban agglomerations, and provide strong support for the construction of a modern comprehensive transportation system in Hubei.
