In recent years, rail transit has played a very important role in metropolitan life, dispersing the flow of people on the ground and alleviating traffic jams. It has great potential for development. Recently, China Power Construction has successfully won the bidding for the 01 section of the civil construction of the first phase of Zhengzhou Rail Transit Line 8, with a contract value of 6.167 billion yuan and a total construction period of 1339 calendar days. The project is a major breakthrough for the company to effectively fulfill the functional positioning given to the railway company by the group, promote the development of a first-class platform company, strive to build a brand of electric construction subway, strategically deploy and consolidate the development of the rail transportation market in central China.

Zhengzhou Rail Transit Line 8 is the longest subway line that runs through Zhengzhou from east to west. The first phase of the project passes through Zhengzhou High-tech Zone, Jinshui District, Zhengdong New District and Zhongmu County. The line starts from the north side of the intersection of Science Avenue and Hongshan Road. Tianjian Lake Station, which ends at Lvboyuan Station at the intersection of Dongfeng Road and Huayuan Road, has a total length of about 20.34 kilometers, including 11 stations, 12 sections and one section.

This project is mainly located in the High-tech Zone and Jinshui District of Zhengzhou City. The line mainly crosses the Jialu River, Xiliu Lake, Zhengzhou North Marshalling Station, Jingguang Elevated Expressway, and Beijing-Guangzhou Railway Overpass Box Culvert and other important structures. The scope of construction includes: civil works in the front line work area and construction of reserved embedded parts, civil air defense engineering, municipal connection and its special work, etc .; auxiliary works such as housing construction works and field earthwork in the section area, mechanical and electrical installation and decoration, site District roads, outdoor supporting projects, municipal connection and reserved pre-embedded construction projects, special work, and installation of special equipment for the section.

It is understood that Zhengzhou Rail Transit Line 8 is positioned as a horizontal line of the triangular backbone network of the urban express line, parallel to the east-west development axis of the main urban area, connecting the main urban area and the eastern new city to strengthen the horizontal connection of the main urban area, highlighting the Zhengzhou East Hub ’s Positioning and quick contact with the East Hub of Zhengzhou and the main urban area and the new city in the east will help to improve the comprehensive transportation integration of Zhengzhou City.

The winning bid for this project fully demonstrates the strong strength of China Power Construction, creating a good platform for China Power Construction to vigorously expand the Zhengzhou rail transit market, and it has also made a huge contribution to the development of Zhengzhou's transportation.
