China EverBright Environment plans to invest approximately 16 trillion Vietnamese dong (approximately 60.82 million US dollars) in the construction of a modern waste to energy plant in Quang Tri Province, Vietnam. The project is located in the South Tea House Solid Waste Treatment Complex, covering an area of approximately 11 hectares. It is designed to handle 600 tons of household waste per day and has a power generation capacity of 15 megawatts. After completion, it will effectively improve the local waste treatment situation and provide clean electricity.

The People's Committee of Guangzhi Province has agreed in principle to conduct a feasibility study for the project and explicitly requested investors to adopt advanced and internationally recognized environmental protection technologies in the approval. At the same time, suitable construction sites far away from residential areas should be selected between the two main urban areas in the province to ensure that the project complies with local environmental standards and development plans.

As a leading environmental energy enterprise in China, Everbright Environment has successfully implemented waste to energy projects in Vietnam. The company's garbage power plant, which was put into operation in Can Tho City in 2018, has a daily processing capacity of 400 tons and an annual power generation of approximately 150000 kilowatt hours; The Phu Son garbage power plant, which will be launched in Hue City in 2025, has a total investment of 17 trillion Vietnamese dong (approximately 64.63 million US dollars), with a daily processing capacity of 600 tons of garbage and an annual power generation capacity of 12 megawatts. The stable operation of these projects has accumulated valuable experience for the promotion of new projects. Keywords: New Energy Information Network, Latest News on New Energy
