The Paraguayan Ministry of Public Works and Communications (MOPC) is currently fully committed to promoting the construction of the "Road to Progress" infrastructure project. This transportation artery located in South Paraguay has completed approximately 75% of its total construction, with a 44 kilometer section connecting Ivirati and San Juan Bautista undergoing comprehensive upgrade and renovation. Through road structure optimization and pavement construction, it has significantly improved traffic safety and transportation efficiency.

As an important component of Paraguay's large-scale infrastructure development plan with a total investment of 50 billion US dollars, the "Road to Progress" is closely linked to the more strategic Double Ocean Corridor. The corridor will be built through the ongoing construction of the Bis Osenica Bridge (connecting Carmelo Peralta in Paraguay with the port of Murtinho in Brazil), creating an international transportation corridor that spans across the Vietnamese and American continents. Ultimately, it will achieve land connectivity between Santo Tomas in Brazil (an Atlantic port) and Antofagasta and Mesileones in Chile (a Pacific port), passing through Paraguay and Argentina. For Paraguay, as a landlocked country, the construction of this transportation network has crucial strategic significance. After the completion of the project, it will greatly improve Paraguay's international trade conditions, connect two-way exports to the Pacific and Atlantic oceans, effectively reduce logistics costs, inject new impetus into the country's economic development, and strengthen its hub position in the South American regional transportation network.Editor/Cheng Liting
