In recent years, with the deepening of the the Belt and Road Initiative, Chinese enterprises have continued to deepen their efforts in overseas markets and have made breakthroughs in South America. China Machinery First Construction Co., Ltd. recently won the bid for the temporary facility civil engineering and installation project of the IBQ basic chemical project in Bolivia. As Bolivia's first large-scale basic chemical project, the IBQ project is listed as a key national investment project in the country, with its construction site located in Uyuni city. This bid not only marks the initial success of China Machinery One Construction's business development in the Bolivian market, but also a key milestone for the company to further expand into the South American market after the Jamaica sugar factory project. The temporary construction project will provide an important guarantee for the project owners and participants, and lay the foundation for the subsequent participation of CMC First Construction in the main project bidding, helping the company to achieve high-quality development along the the Belt and Road.
At the same time, China Hydropower Construction Group, a subsidiary of China Electric Power Construction Corporation, officially signed a contract for the design and construction of a highly complex hospital in the Piura region with the National Health Investment Planning Agency of Peru. The contract amount for this project is as high as 6.568 billion yuan, with a total area of 37780 square meters and a building area of over 98000 square meters. The hospital plans to construct four comprehensive buildings that integrate medical, medical technology, and administrative functions. After completion, they will be equipped with 387 beds, 15 modern operating rooms, as well as high-end medical facilities such as radiation therapy and nuclear medicine. The project duration is 1080 days, and the defect liability period is 52 weeks. The implementation of this project will significantly improve the level of medical and health services in the northern region of Peru, becoming another masterpiece of China Power Construction in deepening its overseas livelihood infrastructure.
