In the bustling ATTRAPI office building in Mexico City, heavy bids were solemnly submitted. When the Aldesa consortium of China Civil Engineering and China Railway Construction Holdings appeared on the bidding list, the atmosphere in the venue instantly heated up - this was not only a simple engineering bidding, but also a key charge by China's infrastructure forces towards the northern economic artery of Mexico in the wave of supply chain restructuring in North America.

Double section synchronous bid opening

The Mexican Railway and Comprehensive Public Transport Agency announced that the bidding for the stations and auxiliary facilities section of the Saltillo to Nuevo Laredo passenger railway has officially opened. The project covers 6 modern stations and 5 key supporting facilities such as vehicle depots and maintenance areas along the line. Attracted multiple top contractors from China, Mexico, and the West to compete, with Chinese power becoming the focus of the entire event.

Strong attack by Chinese enterprise combination

China Civil Engineering and Aldesa, jointly owned by China Railway Construction Holdings, formed a consortium to participate in the bidding. This is the second collaboration between the two parties after signing the Kretaro Irapuado railway contract in the first half of the year. With a strong reputation and localized experience accumulated in the Mexican market, this combination is attempting to replicate the "Chinese technology+local resources" model onto this strategic channel. Pointing to the North American Industrial Corridor

This railway connects the border between Coahuila state and Texas in the United States, and is the transportation backbone of the manufacturing intensive zone in northern Mexico. With the accelerated restructuring of the North American supply chain in 2026, winning this project not only means gaining access to the nearly billion dollar market, but also lays a solid foundation for China's infrastructure to deeply participate in the interconnectivity of the American continent.Editor/Gao Xue
