Offshore Oil Engineering Co., Ltd. recently signed a formal contract with Thailand's National Petroleum Exploration and Production Company for the Bundled Phase 4 EPCI general contracting project, with an amount of approximately 800 million US dollars, setting a new record for Chinese companies to undertake offshore oil and gas development general contracting projects in Southeast Asia.

The project will be executed according to the long-term agreement model, and the owner will confirm the offshore workload for 2027-2029 year by year through orders. CNOOC Engineering will be responsible for providing a complete solution from design, procurement, construction to installation and commissioning. This long-term cooperation model provides a stable source of business for enterprises and helps optimize resource allocation.

In the first half of 2025, the newly signed contract amount of CNOOC Engineering reached 12.068 billion yuan, and the total amount of orders in hand as of the end of the reporting period was approximately 40.7 billion yuan. The company continues to make efforts in international layout and has undertaken multiple international projects in Indonesia, Brunei, Thailand, and other countries.

This cooperation has long-term strategic significance for CNOOC Engineering. This long-term project has provided the company with stable overseas business growth during the 15th Five Year Plan period, and will promote the implementation of internationalization strategy. At the same time, this is also the second general contracting project executed by CNOOC Engineering for PTTEP, marking a new stage of cooperation between the two parties.

In terms of technical strength, the company's independently developed seven function robotic arm, the first underwater robot in China's deep-sea oil and gas industry, has completed land testing, and the 1500 meter underwater control system has also successfully completed performance testing. In the field of intelligent manufacturing, the company has systematically promoted productization construction, achieving a transformation from single product driven to series product driven.

It is worth mentioning that in October 2025, the Qatar BH EPCI general contracting project with a contract amount of approximately 4 billion US dollars has been fully launched, which is the largest international offshore oil and gas engineering general contracting project undertaken by China.
