Recently, China Energy Construction Group successfully signed an EPC general contract for the Paka Green Hydrogen Integration Project in Terengganu, Malaysia with Nova RE Suria Sdn Bhd, a well-known energy company in Malaysia.
Sun Yongbin, Chief Engineer and Deputy General Manager of North China Institute, attended the signing ceremony as a representative of Chinese enterprises. This project marks another important breakthrough for Chinese enterprises in the field of high-end consulting and engineering technology services for green energy overseas.
Multi party cooperation to promote energy transformation
The project is led by Bin Zayed International, a multinational company from the United Arab Emirates, and developed by Nova, a local renewable energy developer in Malaysia. It has been listed as a key project by the Malaysian government to optimize the energy structure and achieve green and low-carbon transformation. The project carries the key mission of the development of Malaysia's hydrogen energy industry. Its successful signing and implementation is a model of efficient collaboration between international capital, local development, and Chinese technological strength, actively responding to the trend of global sustainable energy development.

Build a large-scale green hydrogen production base
The project is located in Paka District, Terengganu State, Malaysia, with the core construction of a modern green hydrogen production plant. Its engineering scope comprehensively covers the design, equipment supply, installation, and overall testing and commissioning of electrolytic cell systems, gas-liquid processors, hydrogen purification devices, and related auxiliary facilities. By utilizing renewable energy electricity for electrolysis of water to produce hydrogen, this project will ensure the "green" attributes of hydrogen products and achieve zero carbon emissions from the source. Keywords: International News Network, New Energy Information
Supporting regional green ambitions and showcasing China's strength
After the project is completed and put into operation, it is expected to produce nearly 30000 tons of green hydrogen annually. This not only makes it Malaysia's first demonstration project for large-scale hydrogen production using renewable energy, playing an important industry leading role, but also will help promote Malaysia's national commitment to produce 2 million tons of hydrogen annually by 2030. The implementation of this project will further consolidate Malaysia's position as a regional hub for sustainable energy and innovation, while also showcasing China's advanced technological solutions and strong engineering implementation capabilities in the entire green hydrogen energy industry chain to the world.Editor/Yang Meiling
