On December 17, 2025, Sai County in Oudomxay Province, Laos, welcomed an important moment - the 1000 MW solar power station constructed by CGN Energy Technology Laos Co., Ltd. was officially put into operation for power generation. This clean energy benchmark project of China Laos cooperation has landed at a special milestone of the 105th anniversary of the birth of the respected leader of the Laotian people, Chairman Kaysan Phomvihan, injecting green momentum into regional development.

As one of the largest clean energy projects in Laos, the power station has a total installed capacity of 1000 megawatts. Its operation will effectively optimize Laos' energy structure, increase the proportion of clean energy in power supply, build a solid barrier for national energy security, and help Laos accelerate its progress towards sustainable development goals. Kan Sheng Ali, Vice Chairman of the Administrative Management Committee of Udomsa Province, commented that this is a key milestone in the history of energy development in Udomsa Province and even the whole country.

During the project construction period, CGN will deeply integrate "green development" with "people's well-being". In addition to building efficient power generation facilities, enterprises also focus on local livelihood needs, invest in repairing schools, building roads and bridges, and improving residents' living and travel conditions; By providing technical training and job opportunities, we aim to build a growth platform for local young people, ensuring that the project benefits all ethnic groups. At the same time, the project strictly follows Laos' environmental regulations, fully implements ecological protection measures, and achieves a win-win situation of economic and ecological benefits.

Zheng Yong, Deputy General Manager of CGN Energy Technology Laos Co., Ltd., stated that in the future, we will continue to deepen our cooperation with Laos, using high-quality projects as a link to help upgrade the energy industry in Oudomxay Province and promote China Laos economic and trade cooperation to a new level.Editor/Bian Wenjun
