Recently, a strong consortium consisting of China Energy Engineering Corporation International Group Co., Ltd., East China Electric Power Design Institute Co., Ltd., and Hunan Thermal Power Construction Co., Ltd. successfully won the bid for the Oman JBB Ali Wind Power Project. Located in the Jalan Bani Bu Ali area on the eastern coast of Oman, the project has a planned total installed capacity of 120 megawatts and will deploy 16 large-scale onshore wind turbines of 7.5MW class — a configuration that not only aligns with the local wind resource endowment but also demonstrates the technological maturity of China's wind power equipment. Supporting the project is a 132kV outgoing line system, which will connect to Oman's national grid substation via a dedicated transmission line, establishing a full-chain green energy channel covering "power generation - transmission - grid connection" to ensure the efficient and stable delivery of clean electricity to end-users. It is estimated that upon completion, the project will generate approximately 400 million kilowatt-hours of electricity annually, effectively filling the power supply gap in eastern Oman, optimizing the regional energy structure, and injecting sustainable momentum into local economic and social development.
