The successful completion of the handover ceremony for the 1 million tons/year methanol to olefin (MTO) plant of Guangxi Huayi Energy Chemical Co., Ltd. marks the successful completion of the main construction of this major chemical project with a total investment of over 13.5 billion yuan, and the official entry into the production preparation and trial operation stage. Liang Quanyong, the Secretary of the Party Committee and Chairman of the Company, attended the ceremony and delivered a speech, while Xing Yi, a member of the Party Committee and Vice General Manager, presided over the ceremony.

As the leading device of the third phase project of Huayi Qinzhou Chemical New Materials Integration Base, the MTO device of CCCC this time is the core hub of the base's industrial chain leap. After its high standard completion and operation, it will promote Guangxi Huayi Energy to achieve a leapfrog extension from basic chemicals such as methanol and ethylene to the downstream industrial chain of high-end polyolefins, laying a solid foundation for the construction of an integrated industrial ecology of "raw materials intermediates high-end products" in Qinzhou base.
The project is located in the Petrochemical Industry Park of Qinzhou Port Area in China (Guangxi) Pilot Free Trade Zone, with a total land area of 55.9 hectares, a construction period of 36 months, and a total investment of 1359016 million yuan. The project is located adjacent to the Huayi Energy and Chemical Phase I and II plant areas, with Chengxing Phosphorus Chemical Industry Base to the north and Weiliya Hazardous Waste Incineration Project and Fubao Tank Farm across the street to the south. With the complete industrial supporting facilities and location advantages of the park, it achieves resource intensive utilization and coordinated development of the industrial chain.

In addition to the core MTO unit, the project also simultaneously constructs a 300000 ton/year vinyl acetate unit, two sets of 200000 ton/year kettle+tubular tail EVA units, and supporting public and auxiliary facilities. The project uses methanol as the core raw material and produces products such as ethylene, propylene, vinyl acetate, and EVA through deep processing and transformation. It will effectively fill the regional gap in high-end chemical new material production capacity and help transform and upgrade the industrial structure of Guangxi's petrochemical industry.Editor/Bian Wenjun
