The national construction project environmental information disclosure platform has officially released the environmental impact assessment report for the integrated project of light storage hydrogen ammonia alcohol in Fuhai County, Xinjiang. This green energy project with a total investment of 7.454 billion yuan not only marks a crucial step towards the comprehensive utilization of new energy in Altay, Xinjiang, but also indicates that China is accelerating its layout in the field of large-scale production of green hydrogen and its derivatives.

Seven billion level green hydrogen project launched

The project is located in Fuhai County, Altay Prefecture, Xinjiang, and is invested and constructed by Hongyang Hydrogen Run Energy Technology Co., Ltd. It is listed as a new encouraged project. The total planned investment for the project is 7.454 billion yuan, and it will be implemented in two phases. The first phase will focus on building a green hydrogen production system with an annual output of 36000 tons, and supporting the construction of up to 1780MW photovoltaic power generation system, four 220kV boosting stations, and 360MW/360MWh electrochemical energy storage systems. The construction period for the first phase is 12 months. After completion, the project will become an important production base for green hydrogen and green chemical products in China.

Integrated layout to build industrial chain

The core feature of the project lies in its integrated design of the entire industry chain. According to the previous bidding announcement, the main construction content of the project includes a 50000Nm ³/h electrolytic water hydrogen production system and auxiliary facilities, including 72 sets of 1000Nm ³/h alkaline electrolysis devices, and 30 2000m ³/1.5MPa spherical storage tanks. On this basis, the project will also construct a green synthetic ammonia production line with an annual output of 100000 tons and a green synthetic methanol system with an annual output of 150000 tons, achieving a complete value chain from green electricity to green hydrogen, and then to green ammonia and green methanol. In addition, the project will also be accompanied by the construction of an integrated intelligent dispatch center for light storage hydrogen ammonia and related office auxiliary facilities.
