This signing will change the computing power landscape of the Beijing Tianjin Hebei region - Zhongjin Data plans to invest about 8 billion yuan in Huailai to build a super large zero carbon computing power park.

Zero carbon computing power redraws the digital map of Beijing Tianjin Hebei region

Sangyuan Town, Huailai County, Zhangjiakou, will rise to become a computing giant in the future. The pilot project of Zhongjin Data Huailai Zero Carbon Computing Power Base is located here, with a planned IT output of approximately 360MW.

This is not an isolated project, but a key layout of CICC Data in the strategic location of East Digital West Computing. At the signing ceremony, Zhang Qi, secretary of Huailai County Party Committee, stressed that "Huailai has had a deep advantage in industry and infrastructure first mover after years of development." Huailai Project will form a triangular linkage with CICC Data Tianjin Park and Ulanchap Computing Power Cluster to jointly undertake the high-performance computing needs of interconnected and large model users in North China.

Chairman Yang Jie pointed out that the core goal of this project is to serve the data element carrying and circulation of the Beijing Tianjin Hebei urban agglomeration, fully leveraging the historical advantages of CICC Data in fast delivery, zero carbon green, and super large park construction. This layout is highly in line with the regional coordinated development plan of the Beijing Municipal Bureau of Economy and Information Technology's "Beijing Tianjin Hebei Mongolia Computing Power Corridor", marking a new stage of cross regional coordination in China's computing infrastructure.

Building a benchmark for China's green computing power cluster

The Huailai project adopts a flexible layout of "leading+expanding". The pilot project has landed in Sangyuan Town, and the expansion project will be distributed in other areas within the Huailai starting area, forming a collaborative network of multiple points and centers. This layout model is in line with the Zhongjin Ulanqab project and Zhongwei project of Zhongjin, jointly building a super large, multi center, highly customized, green and zero carbon computing power cluster of the East Data West Computing Hub node.

Against the backdrop of explosive growth in artificial intelligence, global computing power demand is experiencing unprecedented expansion. As the core production factor of the digital economy, the optimization of computing power's layout is related to China's digital competitiveness. After the completion of the project, it will significantly enhance the computing power supply capacity of the Zhangjiakou cluster Huailai starting area, and help the regional digital economy achieve leapfrog development.
