The Fourth Plenary Session of the 20th Central Committee of the Communist Party of China listed hydrogen energy as an important direction for future industries. Hydrogen energy, as an important component of the future national energy system, plays a crucial role in the construction of new power and energy systems, and will effectively promote the development and consumption of new energy, helping to achieve the 'dual carbon' goal, "Bian Guangqi said at the meeting. At the same time, the hydrogen energy industry has high technological content, long industrial chain, and involves multiple links. In the development process, it will comprehensively drive industrial innovation, expand domestic demand, talent cultivation, and international cooperation.

During the 14th Five Year Plan period, the hydrogen energy industry gradually achieved an orderly breakthrough. The reporter learned from the National Energy Administration that by the end of 2025, the cumulative production capacity of renewable energy hydrogen production projects in China will exceed 250000 tons per year, achieving a doubling growth compared to the previous year. Projects such as Kuche in Xinjiang, Ningdong in Ningxia, Chifeng in Inner Mongolia, and Da'an and Songyuan in Jilin have been completed and put into operation, gradually connecting the industrial process of hydrogen energy production, storage, transportation, and application; A batch of major technological equipment has made new breakthroughs, laying a solid foundation for the development of the hydrogen energy industry.Editor/Yang Meiling
