As an important country in Central Asia, Kazakhstan has been actively seeking deep cooperation with other countries in the field of energy to promote its own sustainable economic and social development. As an energy hub in Kazakhstan, Atyrau Oblast has become a key region for energy cooperation due to its abundant oil and gas resources.

Kazakhstan's Atyrau Oblast is actively attracting Chinese investment to build a large-scale gas turbine power plant. As an important part of the bilateral cooperation memorandum, this project will bring new opportunities for local development.

The project is progressing in an orderly manner

The project was initiated by Hualin Energy Co., Ltd. and is planned to be implemented in three phases. The first phase is expected to be completed by the end of this year, with an additional 250MW of installed capacity; Fully completed and put into operation by 2029. At present, the company has completed a large amount of preliminary work such as terrain surveying and engineering survey, and the government of Atyrau state has also provided project land. The large-scale construction plan will officially start in March this year. Overall, we feel full support, "said Magran Bekmasa, Business Director of Hualin Energy Limited

This project is of great significance to the economic development of Atyrau Oblast. During the construction period, more than 1000 job opportunities will be created, providing short-term job opportunities for local residents; After production, it will also provide about 300 long-term stable job positions, effectively improving the local employment situation. Moreover, the project will inject strong impetus into the economic development of Atyrau Oblast, drive the development of related industries, and form a virtuous economic cycle.

In the past, most of the associated gas in oil fields was directly burned and released, resulting in resource waste. Nowadays, the project adopts advanced technology to efficiently convert associated gas into electrical energy. Thanks to new technologies, the cost of power generation will be lower than the current electricity price, which not only ensures the electricity demand of local residents, but also supports the implementation of more new industrial projects. At present, the local electricity demand continues to grow, and the existing power capacity is unable to meet the demand. The implementation of this project is timely and will effectively alleviate the power shortage situation, providing solid energy security for regional development.
