Iranian Foreign Minister Araqchi issued a strong statement regarding the recent US-Israeli attacks and the assassination of Supreme Leader Ayatollah Khamenei. He emphasized that no one has the right to tell Iran to abandon its self-defense – “We are defending ourselves, and we have the full and legitimate right to do so.” In response to US President Trump’s warning against retaliation, Araqchi stated unequivocally: “No leader of any country has the right to say that.”

Araqchi further pointed out that Iran has a sound political system, and the assassination of the Supreme Leader does not mean regime change. The US and Israel’s attempt to achieve regime change in Iran is “an absolutely impossible task.” Iran will soon elect a new Supreme Leader according to its constitution, and the position of the commander attacked will be quickly filled.

To protect the Iranian people, Araqchi vowed that Iran will “spare no expense, without any restrictions.” He stressed that the US actions constitute “aggression,” while Iran’s actions are “self-defense,” and there is a fundamental difference between the two. Iran’s military forces are ready and more capable than ever of defending the country.Editor/Cao Tianyi
