Kazakhstan holds a meeting to promote the construction of the Bakt Ayaguz railway

Recently, the Deputy Minister of Transport of Kazakhstan, Janibek Tejanov, and the Deputy Governor of Abay Oblast, Saezek Tolinbergen, jointly chaired a special on-site meeting to study and promote the construction of the Bakt Ayaguz railway project.

According to the Ministry of Transport of Kazakhstan, representatives from Kazakhstan State Railways, Samruk Kazyna National Fund, the general contractor China Harbour Engineering Co., Ltd., and the design unit attended the meeting. The meeting focused on discussing the progress of project implementation and had in-depth exchanges on the coordination and cooperation among all parties involved in the construction process.

It is understood that the Bakt Ayaguz railway project has important strategic significance for improving transportation infrastructure, building cross-border railway corridors, and enhancing the capacity of the Trans Caspian International Transport Corridor. The railway has a total length of 303 kilometers. According to the project plan, 11 stations, 68 bridges, and 355 culverts will be built along the line. According to the plan, the project will be completed and put into operation before the end of 2027. At present, the engineering survey work has been fully completed, and four worker camps have been built and put into use in sections such as Ayi, Shaoerpan, Urzar, and Bakt. Tejanov emphasized at the meeting that it is necessary to ensure the project is completed on schedule and requested all participating parties to maintain an efficient and collaborative working mechanism. The Ministry of Transport will work with Harbin Railway Company, contractors, and local administrative agencies to continuously track and supervise the progress of project construction on a regular basis.Editor/Gong Ziwei
