The total investment of the project is 35.68 billion yuan, located in Yueyang, Hunan. It is planned to start construction in 2026 and is expected to be completed and put into operation in 2028. As the largest single investment industrial project in Hunan Province, the project adopts the "1 million tons/year ethylene+refining supporting transformation" model to promote and build 14 sets of chemical plants.

Rich procurement content for devices and equipment

The main construction content of the ethylene project includes a 1 million ton/year ethylene plant, a 500000 ton/year cracking gasoline hydrogenation plant, a 300000 ton/year aromatic extraction plant, a 300000 ton/year aromatic benzene production plant, a 150000 ton/year butadiene extraction plant, a 20000 ton/year styrene extraction plant, a 300000 ton/year EVA plant, a 400000 ton/year HDPE plant, a 400000 ton/year LLDPE plant, and a 10/40000 ton/year MTBE/butene-1 plant.

The main procurement equipment of the project revolves around a million ton ethylene plant and 14 downstream chemical plants, involving core production equipment such as cracking furnaces, polymerization reactors, ethylene oxide/ethylene glycol plants, polyethylene and polypropylene plants, butadiene extraction plants, styrene plants, etc. At the same time, auxiliary facilities such as storage tanks, pumps and valves, heat exchangers, compressors, etc. are also provided, and automation and safety control systems such as DCS control system and SIS safety instrument system are synchronously constructed.
