The photovoltaic energy storage system on the roof of the Nicaragua Pontawet International Airport renovation and expansion project, which was constructed by China International Engineering Corporation under the EPC general contracting mode, has recently been officially put into operation. The project camp has achieved 100% photovoltaic power supply, marking the comprehensive completion of the green camp.
The project team fully utilizes building roof resources such as living areas, office areas, and semi enclosed sports fields to construct rooftop photovoltaic and energy storage systems, adopting a photovoltaic power generation+energy storage+self use mode to provide clean electricity for camp office, living, and staff sports field lighting. From "green construction" to green camp, the project team has transformed idle roofs into clean energy carriers, implementing the concept of green and low-carbon throughout the entire process of overseas project construction and operation, and accumulating practical experience for exploring the green energy application model of "building roofs+photovoltaic power generation+energy storage" for overseas projects.
During the project construction period, representatives from the Nepalese side visited the site multiple times and gave positive evaluations of the project's implementation of green and low-carbon concepts, further enhancing the recognition of the Nepalese side's owners for China International's new energy technology and project implementation capabilities.Editor/Min Jing
