At present, as the global competition for artificial intelligence computing power enters a white hot stage, the construction of digital infrastructure in Southeast Asia has achieved a milestone breakthrough.
True Internet Data Center Co., Ltd., headquartered in Thailand, has officially launched the construction of a large-scale AI data center in the Eastern Economic Corridor of Thailand. The total investment of this project is as high as 77 billion Thai baht, about 2.36 billion US dollars, with a planned total capacity of 250 megawatts. It has not only obtained key approval from the Thai Investment Commission, but is also regarded as the core engine for Thailand to undertake global AI computing power spillover and drive local digital economy transformation.
As a digital pioneer under the CP Group, True IDC aims to provide the market with a rapidly responsive new infrastructure through fully modular design and sustainable energy management by the first phase of operation in 2027.

Building a national level digital shield
Unlike traditional data centers that only focus on storage and computing capabilities, the core strategic positioning of this project lies in security and sovereignty. Thanasorn Jaidee, President of True IDC, emphasized that in addition to agility, proactive security is the lifeline of today's digital infrastructure. The facility will strive to become the core engine driving the parallel development of the security economy and digital economy, protecting critical national data by creating technological independence and ensuring uninterrupted operation of public and private sector systems in any situation. This statement directly points to the pain points of current global supply chain disruptions and frequent cyber attacks.
According to the Ayutthaya Bank Research Center (2026-2028), Thailand's digital services and software revenue will continue to grow at an average annual rate of 6.8%, indicating an exponential increase in demand for AI computing centers with high defense levels. True IDC, with its global strategic partnership with GIP BlackRock, is attempting to build the project into a super node connecting Thailand with global capital and technology.
From Infrastructure to Ecological Reshaping of Regional Digital Map
This 250 megawatt AI data center is not only a pile of hardware facilities, but also a springboard for Thailand to move towards a high value-added digital economy. By introducing a fully modular design, the project has achieved seamless integration between construction speed and system deployment, significantly shortening the cycle from civil engineering to operation.

More importantly, its emphasis on sustainable energy management aligns with the global trend of green computing power development. With the opening of the first phase in 2027, the center will effectively alleviate the shortage of AI computing power in Thailand and even Southeast Asia, providing underlying support for cutting-edge industries such as fintech, intelligent manufacturing, and autonomous driving.
