In the first year of the 15th Five Year Plan, China's energy landscape is undergoing a profound restructuring. On the northern edge of the Kubuqi Desert in Inner Mongolia, nearly 400 kilometers of the "Photovoltaic Great Wall" has risen from the ground; The construction of the Mengxi Beijing Tianjin Hebei ± 800 kV high-voltage project is being accelerated, with an annual transmission of 36 billion kilowatt hours of clean electricity, connecting the energy arteries. The core logic of this transformation is the deep integration of "green" and "smart".
In Hohhot and Ling'er New Area, 95% of China Mobile's data center's computing power is directly supplied to the Beijing Tianjin Hebei region. Green electricity is converted into "bits" that drive artificial intelligence through dedicated lines, achieving efficient conversion between "watts" and "bits". At the same time, the world's largest electrochemical energy storage power station relying on AI intelligent brain has been put into operation at the foot of Yinshan Mountain, accurately adjusting the charging and discharging of 4 million battery cells and solving the problem of new energy volatility. In smart mines hundreds of meters underground, 5G technology has made "coal mining invisible", and traditional coal is turning towards clean and efficient utilization.

From the scenic bases in the northwest Gobi to the computing hubs along the eastern coast, from hydrogen energy plants to nuclear fusion experimental devices, energy production and consumption patterns are being reshaped. Faced with the bottom line of ensuring the supply of 5.8 billion tons of standard coal and the hard target of reducing carbon emissions, China is taking the new quality productivity as the guide to build a clean, low-carbon, safe and efficient new energy system, injecting strong momentum into high-quality development.Editor/Cheng Liting
