In the industrial hinterland of Huaihai Economic Zone, a logistics super hub covering an area of 380 acres recently broke ground. The construction of the first phase of China Logistics Xuzhou Engineering Machinery Intelligent Industrial Park is not only an important puzzle for Xuzhou International Land Port, but also regarded as a key move to connect the Ren and Du meridians in the capital of engineering machinery. The project is not simply a warehouse stacking, but aims at Xugong Group and the surrounding large manufacturing cluster, attempting to reconstruct the supply chain genes through digital means.

The golden pivot of multimodal transportation

Geographic location is the trump card of the project. Within a 5-kilometer radius of the park, there are 12 XCMG host factories and 20 large and medium-sized supporting enterprises densely distributed. More importantly, this area is adjacent to the entrance of Huaixu Expressway and Wanzhai Port on the Beijing Hangzhou Grand Canal, and is connected to a dedicated railway line. The seamless connection of highways, railways, and waterways in multimodal transportation is extremely scarce in inland port cities. After the completion of the project, bulk raw materials can be directly transported to Hong Kong by water and enter the park through a dedicated railway line. Finished products can be quickly distributed through the high-speed road network, and the logistics transit time is expected to be reduced by more than 30%.

The cost reduction revolution empowered by numbers

Unlike traditional logistics parks, this project focuses on the word 'smart'. The first phase will build a high standard intelligent warehouse distribution center, introducing AGV robots, automated three-dimensional warehouses, and IoT sensing equipment. By building a supply chain digital twin platform, the park will achieve dynamic optimization of inventory and intelligent algorithm matching of transportation routes.

According to estimates, this will reduce logistics costs by more than 15% and increase inventory turnover by 20% for surrounding manufacturing enterprises.
