On May 4th, Uzbekistan President Mirziyoyev attended the 59th annual meeting of the Asian Development Bank Board in Samarkand and stated that given the severe challenges facing international logistics, the construction of the China Kyrgyzstan Uzbekistan railway is particularly important for the region.

Mirziyoyev pointed out that after the completion of the China Kyrgyzstan Uzbekistan railway project, the cross-border freight transportation time can be shortened to 10 days, which will significantly improve the transit transportation capacity of the entire Central Asian region. It is expected that the annual freight throughput will reach 15 million tons.

Mirziyoyev emphasized that the project will become a key link in the interconnection of regional transportation infrastructure, and has profound significance for deepening economic and trade ties between countries and promoting coordinated regional economic development.
