On May 4, 2026, an ASEAN return train loaded with cassava starch slowly entered Zhengzhou International Land Port. This train, departing from Vientiane Station in Laos and arriving in just 5 days, has completed railway express mode customs clearance for the first time at the customs supervision operation site of the Zhengzhou Assembly Center of the China Europe Railway Express.

Quick Pass Test Activate Full Chain Closed Loop
The train carries a total of 35 sets of containers with approximately 900 tons of goods. After entering through Mohan Port, it directly goes to the customs supervision area of the assembly center to complete customs clearance, and then is transported directly to a dedicated warehouse for warehouse acceptance. Downstream food processing and feed production enterprises can select and trade products as needed, and the distribution center synchronously completes sorting, packaging, loading and outbound, truly realizing the full chain closed-loop operation from train import to customs clearance, warehousing, trading, and distribution.

Customs pre service compresses clearance time
Zhengzhou Station Customs proactively connected with enterprises and operation platforms in advance, provided special guidance on the standardized declaration of cassava starch, strengthened the coordination between ports and local areas to achieve one-stop inspection, compressed the operation time of goods, and achieved immediate clearance and release upon arrival at the supervised operation site, creating a demonstration model for the convenience of bulk commodity distribution and clearance. Key step taken in hub platform construction
The successful implementation of the railway express mode fully unleashes the core functional advantages of the Zhengzhou assembly center of the China Europe freight train, providing replicable and promotable practical experience for building a distribution center platform for various bulk commodities in Zhengzhou and achieving normalized local customs clearance operations in the future. Next, Zhengzhou International Land Port will continue to deepen its collaborative linkage with customs, optimize regulatory procedures, and comprehensively enhance the integrated service capabilities of bulk commodity distribution, transit, import and export throughout the entire chain.Editor/Gao Xue
