Recently, the bidding announcement for the preparation of the feasibility study report for the Nansha Guangzhou New Airport Expressway (Nansha Heshan Gulao section) project was officially released, marking the full start of the preliminary work for this major transportation project with a total investment of approximately 37 billion yuan. As the core collection and distribution channel of Guangzhou's new airport, this project connects Nansha, Shunde, and Heshan, which is of crucial significance for enhancing the radiation capacity of the new airport and improving the high-speed network of the Guangdong Hong Kong Macao Greater Bay Area.

Across three cities, directly connected to the new airport

The project starts from the Xili Toll Station on the Huanglan Main Line, intersects with the Nansha Port Expressway, and then intersects with the Dongxin Expressway, Zhongshan East Ring Expressway, and Guangfo Jiangzhu Expressway in sequence to the west. After crossing the Xijiang River, it intersects with the Fokai Expressway in Heshan, Jiangmen, and then closely follows the Gulao Water Township for wiring. The endpoint intersects with the Nanxin Expressway and connects with the Heshan Gulao to the airport section. The recommended route is approximately 72.75 kilometers long and adopts the construction standard of a two-way six lane expressway. The design speed is 100 kilometers per hour and the roadbed width is 34.5 meters. The route spans across Nansha in Guangzhou, Shunde in Foshan, and Heshan in Jiangmen, effectively shortening the time and space distance between the new airport and the Zhuxi urban agglomeration, and strengthening the transportation hub function in southern Guangzhou.

Comprehensive bidding for feasibility study

This bidding includes one section, covering all the investigation, survey, data collection, on-site investigation, geophysical exploration, and analytical research work required for the feasibility study of the project.
