At the beginning of 2026, the green ammonia produced by the project was successfully exported to South Korea, achieving the world's first commercial grade green ammonia ocean transportation and becoming an important milestone in the transformation of the hydrogen energy industry. The cross-border export of green ammonia marks a disruptive change in the global hydrogen energy industry. According to international professional media evaluations, the cross-border export of Far sighted green ammonia has transformed hydrogen energy from a single domestic decarbonization tool into a globally circulated green commodity. The Chifeng project has established a complete end-to-end industrial chain from green electricity hydrogen production, ammonia synthesis to cross-border export, verifying the feasibility of hydrogen energy storage and transportation, certification, and cross-border trade, and breaking down industry barriers to cross-border cooperation.
