On May 26, 2026, Nanning, Guangxi welcomed a new opportunity for China ASEAN artificial intelligence industry cooperation. The China ASEAN Artificial Intelligence Application Cooperation Center Enterprise Alliance was officially unveiled and established, providing a new specialized platform for the coordinated development of regional digital economy.

The establishment of this alliance is an important measure to deeply implement the national deployment of artificial intelligence and actively serve the digital cooperation between China and ASEAN. It marks a complete departure from the previous scattered exploration and single project docking mode of artificial intelligence international cooperation between China and ASEAN, and officially enters a new development stage of platformization, institutionalization, and ecologicalization.

Gathering high-quality resources

As the core industry collaboration carrier of the China ASEAN Artificial Intelligence Application Cooperation Center, the Smart Enterprise Alliance is jointly initiated and established by Moore Thread, Zhiyuan Innovation, ZTE, Guangxi Guoyan ASEAN Innovation Driven Development Center and other units. The alliance has absorbed 55 member units in its first batch, covering key links in the artificial intelligence industry chain such as computing power facilities, model algorithms, data resources, terminal devices, digital scenes, and industrial funds, achieving full coverage of upstream and downstream resources in the industry chain.

Based on the needs of industrial development, Intelligent Enterprise Alliance will focus on building industry benchmark projects, solidly promote cross-border application cooperation, industrial ecological integration, industry standard co construction, compliance and risk control support, rights protection, and international market promotion, and make every effort to build a sustainable and high-quality regional artificial intelligence industry collaborative development system. Compared to ordinary industry exchange platforms, this alliance focuses on deep collaboration in the industrial chain and benchmark project traction, gathering high-quality resources such as domestic leading enterprises, scientific research institutions, and professional service institutions, promoting multidimensional linkage of technology, investment, scenarios, standards, and services, and providing comprehensive and systematic support for regional digital industry cooperation. In September 2025, the National Development and Reform Commission and the People's Government of Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region officially launched the construction of the China ASEAN Artificial Intelligence Application Cooperation Center. The local area actively explores the development path of characteristic artificial intelligence through research and development in Beijing, Shanghai, and Guangzhou, integration in Guangxi, connection in Hong Kong, and application in ASEAN. It continues to transform its unique location and platform advantages into core competitive advantages for ASEAN, and opens up a full chain channel for the cross-border landing, technology transformation, and scenario application of the artificial intelligence industry. As a priority direction of China's peripheral diplomacy, ASEAN is a key area for the the Belt and Road Initiative, and also a core position for cooperation in cross-border applications of artificial intelligence.
